 First Church of Norwalk has stood as a beacon of hope and inclusion on the Green in Norwalk, CT, for generations. With deep roots in advocacy and community building, we are proud to be home to the historic Yordon Social Justice Institute. This institute has empowered countless changemakers to work toward equity, peace, and understanding.

Rev. Tamara Moreland is a compassionate and visionary leader whose ministry impacts lives locally, nationally, and globally. As Senior Pastor she empowers individuals and communities through wisdom, resilience, and innovative leadership.

With a background in executive leadership and social justice advocacy, Rev. Moreland has championed diversity, equity, and inclusion while supporting vulnerable populations. Her global perspective equips the church to face challenges with grace and boldness.

Rev. Moreland embodies servant leadership, building bridges and inspiring transformation. Under her guidance, First Congregational Church thrives as a beacon of hope and compassion.
